Conventional airport passenger scanning apparatus simply detect metals. They can not detect plastic explosives strapped by a suicide bomber, drugs stuffed in plastic packets swallowed by couriers nor do they detect precious minerals/stones being smuggled.

Our scanners would digitally detect all the above within a few seconds a carriers entrance. (See picture below). The image would be displayed on a screen and the passenger and the security personnel never meet eye to eye and thus civil liberties are protected.

Furthermore trials at Heathrow airport showed that 80% of passengers interviewed, preferred this method rather than being physically patted down or body searched.
